Staff To Be Deployed To Other Departments
Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir on Monday formally wound up the Department of Stationery & Office Supplies, J&K. The decision was taken at the administrative council meeting on June 8.
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the closure/winding-up of Jammu and Kashmir, Department of Stationery and Office Supplies, J&K,” reads a government order.
The employees of the winded-up department shall be deployed to the Government Departments as per need and shall be governed by their existing rules and regulations till their retirement from service, it said.
“All fixed and movable assets of the winded-up Department at Jammu/Kashmir shall be utilized by other Government Departments depending upon their requirement,” it said, adding, “The liabilities, if any, pending against the Department, shall be referred to ARI & Trainings Department for clearance out of Government Accounts after thorough Verification.”
Also the official records shall be handed over to the ARI & Trainings Department for future correspondence and record, the order added.
