Srinagar- The clash in University of Kashmir and Jamia Millia Islamia University Entrance Test, scheduled both June 22 has left the aspirants of Kashmir Valley at a crossroads.
A group of aggrieved aspirants said that Kashmir University and Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi have scheduled entrance tests for various postgraduate programs on the same date (22 June this month), creating a situation where the aspirants who wish to appear in both the exams have been left to make a hard choice.
The candidates from Kashmir Valley are in a fix as they cannot appear in both the examinations on the same date.
Some of the aspirants appealed to the University of Kashmir to delay the exam by one week which will enable them to appear in both exams.
When contacted, the Registrar, University of Kashmir, Professor Nisar Ahmed Mir said that they have arrived at a decision to reschedule all the entrance test dates that clash with other Universities.
“We request students to give feedback and mail directly to me or Kashmir University so that all the entrance test dates clashing with other universities will be rescheduled,” he said adding that KU is for the benefit of students that will always take decisions in their interest. (KNT)
