Event aimed to boost moral education & good ethics among students: Chairman
Srinagar- In a Unique and first of it’s kind initiative boosting the students more towards the moral up gradation, Dubai Grand International School (DGIS) on Saturday organized a mega event marking the celebration of ‘Mother’s Day’ at school premises, during which students washed the feet of their mothers.
The mega event saw a record participation of parents in the ‘Feet Washing Ceremony’ in which students of the school washed the feet of their mothers on Stage.
On the occasion, Chairman of Dubai Grand International School Mohammad Haneef Bhat stated that the event aims to promote moral education and excellent ethics among students in order to assist them distinguish between good and bad.
“We are emphasizing on moral education, which teaches a child about the core disciplinary rules of life, in addition to the approved syllabus for students.” We ensure that our students are up to the moral principles and absorb a learning for life what a mother means by this practice of washing mothers’ feet,” he said.
On the occasion students of the school performed various programmes and exhibited contemporary dance that expressed love for Mothers.
The event will also witnessed open question answer session between parents and school management.
Pertinent to mention that the event was scheduled on 8 May but due to the sudden demise of the father of the chairman the event was postponed.
