Srinagar- An encounter broke out between militants and government forces in Heff Shirmal area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
A police official said that government forces launched a cordon and search operation in Heff Shirmal area of Zainapora in the Shopian district on specific information about the presence of militants there.
He said that as the government forces approached the suspected spot, militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.
As per the sources, two militants are believed to be trapped.
