Srinagar– The demise of Altaf Hussain Joo popularly called Taatha is beeing widely condoled.
Taatha, who hailed from Dalgate, passed away at his Jan Mohalla, Lal Bazar residence Monday morning following a brief spell of illness, family sources said.
Taatha, who retired as Financial Controller of SICOP, was well known for his tireless work for social causes. He was associated with various trusts and institutions working for public welfare.
His demise has been widely mourned with people recalling his outstanding social work.
Ittehadul Muslimeen president Masroor Abbas Ansari and Shia Association General Secretary Abid Ansari paid tributes to Altaf Hussain and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family in separate statements.
