Srinagar- Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured on Monday in a militant attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
According to officials, unidentified militants triggered an IED blast in Larmoo area of Tral on Monday evening when a joint team of police and CRPF were conducting area domination in two bullet proof bunkers. In the explosion, two CRPF personnel received minor injuries.
Soon after the attack, additional reinforcements of police and CRPF rushed towards the spot. Senior officers also examined the blast site.
According to reports, the area was placed under a cordon and search operation was launched to nab the attackers.
“A joint team of Police & CRPF were conducting area domination in 02 BP bankers during which a minor #IED #blast took place in Larmoo #Tral, #Awantipora. 02 CRPF personnel got minor injuries. Our team retaliating & #reinforcement sent alongwith senior officers,” IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said, according to a police spokesperson.
