Bhubaneswar- Odisha Sports Model is the best model in India, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, MP, Kandhamal and Founder, KIIT and KISS in Bihar Sports Conclave-2022.
A two-day Bihar Sports Conclave-2022, organized by the Bihar Government; was inaugurated by Dr. Alok Ranjan, Minister, Art, Culture and Youth, Government of Bihar at Patna On Thursday.
Addressing the gathering as a guest of the conclave Dr. Samanta said, one has to take lead with utmost dedication and selflessness to take the state to a new height in the Sports sector. First of all, we have to create the best sports infrastructure. Appreciating the Odisha Sports Model Dr. Samanta said, Odisha has become the sports capital of India under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha.
Patnaik has a special interest in sports and he has given more importance to sports. Today Odisha is organizing many national and international sports events. The Government of Odisha has created a huge world-class sports infrastructure. Odisha govt. has taken sports to grassroot level. As a result, Odisha has produced many national and international sportspersons. Odisha is the number one state in India to promote sportspersons and the prize money given by govt. of Odisha to national and international sportspersons is highest in the country, he added. Every state should follow the Odisha sports model.
KIIT & KISS has an enormous contribution to sports and has been given importance to sports as academic from its inception. KIIT & KISS the only educational institution in India has created a huge world-class sports infrastructure. Today KIIT & KISS has attracted national and international players and sports bodies to organize national and international sports events here. Among others, Rahul Bose, President, Rugby India, and many eminent sportspersons and coaches were present in this programme.
