Awantipora- Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) hosted One Day sensitization program on Eco- Entrepreneurship organised by the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIED) IUST.
During the program, students were sensitized about entrepreneurship, sustainable development and it’s potential in coming years.
While delivering the keynote address on the occasion, Founder of Sagg Ecological Entrepreneurship NGO, Fayaz Ahmed highlighted the importance of Eco- Entrepreneurship which not only provides new opportunities for the first movers who identify and exploit such opportunities, but also has the potential to be a major force in the overall transition to a more sustainable business paradigm.
Speaking on the occasion, Director CIED, Dr Parvez Ahmed Mir conducted an interesting session on entrepreneurship as career option. He highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship as it not only promotes innovation to find new solutions to existing and emerging demands, but also provides greater opportunities for wealth creation for self and society than anything else.
“Entrepreneurship creates an opportunity to make a definite contribution to society by raising people in and around the enterprise. The constant enthusiasm to innovate helps to touch people’s heads and hearts on a large scale”, he added.
