Srinagar- Aspirants who are set to appear for the Public Service Commission Mains Exams (PSC Mains) have appealed to JKPSC to postpone the exams.
Aspirants say the exam dates clash with the Union Public Service Commission Exam (UPSC interview).
JKPSC Mains exam will begin from April 7, 2022.
As some candidates have to appear in both exams (PSC Mains) and (UPSC interview) they are urging the JKPSC to postpone the Mains Examination.
“On 8th March, The PSC deferred the exam just 10 hours before the commencement, on the other hand has shocked the aspirants with “5 days ultimatum” before the commencement of examination,” said Tahir, one of the aspirants.
The Aspirants say the commission’s notice has left them shocked and disturbed as they expected more time for preparation.
“The date sheet which has been published by the JKPSC, has left no gaps before the optional papers, which is the norm for every competitive exam, including UPSC CSE” said Mohammad Imran another aspirant.
“Besides, many of the aspirants are already undergoing the interview phase of UPSC CSE examination, which is clashing with the date,” Imran said.
Chairman Public Service Commission B R Sharma said that only one aspirant appeared before the commission to get the exams deferred.
“Those aspirants who have a clash should appear before the commission and register their demands regarding deferment” he said.
