Srinagar- The capital city of Srinagar is witnessing a steep rise in daily Coronavirus cases as 18 more people tested positive for the virus on Friday, while 13 others were reported from different parts of the Union Territory.
According to officials, Kashmir Valley reported 30 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday while a single case was detected in Jammu division.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 18 new cases of Coronavirus, Pulwama 4, Anantnag 3, Kupwara 2, and one new case each in Baramulla, Budgam and Shopian. The three districts of Bandipora, Ganderbal and Kulgam witnessed no fresh cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a single case of virus while no new cases were detected in the remaining nine districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi.
Also, the officials said that the death toll due to the pandemic remained unchanged at 4750 in J&K, as no fresh fatality was reported across the UT during the last 24 hours.
