Srinagar- Two persons were killed and as many others injured when they came under landslide during extraction of soil in Wagoora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.
Four persons came under the landslide during extraction of soil in Wagila-Wagoora, officials said, adding that soon after the incident, massive rescue operation was launched by the administration and locals during which two bodies were recovered from the site while two other rescued in injured conditions.
The officials identified the deceased duo as Ali Mohammad Malik son of Farooq Ahmad Malik and Ghulam Mohammad Mir son of Ali Mohammad Mir both the residents of Wagils-Wagoora.
The injured persons have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and their and their condition is said to be stable.
