Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Monday 12 fresh cases of Coronavirus, the lowest ever single day count since the third wave of infection engulfed the Union Territory, while fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, Kashmir reported the lowest three new cases of virus while the remaining nine were registered in Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 453460.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar detected two new cases of Covid-19 while one was registered in Baramulla district. No fresh cases of infection were reported from the remaining eight districts of Budgam, Pulwama, Kupwara, Anantnag, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Kulgam and Shopian.
In the winter capital, officials said, Doda recorded five new cases of virus and two each in Jammu and Samba districts. The remaining seven districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi detected no new cases of Covid-19.
“Moreover, 37 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 15 from Jammu Division and 22 from Kashmir Division,” they said.
Also, the officials said that the death toll due to pandemic remained unchanged at 4750 in J&K, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
