Srinagar- Unidentified militants on Saturday shot dead an off-duty Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The CRPF man identified as Mukhtar Ahmad was shot and critically wounded by unknown militants in his native village Check Chotipora on Saturday evening, reports said. The injured CRPF man was removed to the hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there declared him dead.
According to reports, government forces launched a search operation in the village and its adjoining areas shortly after Ahmad’s killing.
