SRINAGAR- Two matches of the ongoing 29th Annual Football Championship 2022 saw a total of 15 goals between them on Wednesday here at the Synthetic Turf TRC.
In the first match, DFA Shopian locked horns against DFA Budgam. Goals from Nadeem, Aamir, Junaid and Waris helped DFA Budgam defeat DFA Shopian by 5 goals to nil.
The second match, a 1:30 PM kick off, was played between DFA Srinagar and DFA Sopore. The Srinagar side completely outplayed DFA Sopore by 9 goals to 1. Arsalan Parray of DFA Srinagar scored first hat-trick of the Championship. Aakib, Shaik, scored two goals each, while Owais and Umair scored one goal. Saliq scored the lone goal for DFA Sopore. The performance of DFA Srinagar was warmly applauded by the spectators present.
The tournament is being organised by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&k Sports Council.
