Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir police Saturday arrested journalist Fahad Shah in another case after a special court granted interim bail to him in an Unlawful act.
Reports said that Fahad Shah was arrested in a case under FIR no 06-2021 registered against him at police station Imam Sahab in southern Shopian district.
Fahad’s counsel Advocate Umair Ronga earlier tweeted “The majesty of law has been upheld, the Special Court designated under the NIA act admitted @pzfahad to interim bail. The administration couldn’t dominate maliciously while the judiciary rescued him courageously. Thank you for the support from every corner and everyone.”
Fahad, who is editor of a local news magazine and portal, “The Kashmir Walla”, was arrested by police in FIR No. 19/2022 registered by Pulwama police under 13 Unlawful activities of which interim bail was granted by the special court on Saturday.
Police had earlier said “Fahad Shah is wanted in 3 cases for glorifying terrorism, spreading fake news & inciting general public for creating L&O situations: FIR No. 70/2020 of PS Safakadal Srinagar, FIR No. 06/2021 of PS Imamsahib, Shopian and FIR No. 19/2022 of PS Pulwama.”
