Jammu- The divisional administration on Saturday directed the Deputy Commissioners to fast track pending land acquisition cases of Army in this winter capital.
According to an official spokesperson, the Divisional Commissioner, Dr Raghav Langer on Saturday reviewed the status of land acquisition, requisition cases of Army here at a meeting of Deputy Commissioners, Senior Army officers and concerned departments.
He said threadbare discussions were held on the land acquisition requisitions for defence purposes. During the meeting concerned DCs apprised the Div Com about the present status of each land acquisition case pending in the districts.
“The Div Com sought case wise details and directed the concerned officers to expedite and complete the process at the earliest. He also asked the revenue officers to prepare revenue papers of the land, conduct joint verifications (where pending) for early resolution,” the spokesperson said.
Langer, he said, also directed for maintaining inter department coordination for expeditious clearance of cases.
In the meeting, the spokesperson said that it was informed that the Housing and Urban Development Department has an online portal for issuance of Building permissions.
The Div Com, he said, asked Army authorities to provide details of the officers dealing with land cases so that the Local Military Authorities (LMAs) are taken on board while giving the building permissions.
The spokesperson said that the Additional Secretary of the Home Dept, was directed by the Divisional Commissioner to expedite issuance of Form-J, amended Form-J, issuance of derequisition permissions under the land acquisition cases pending under the J&K RAIP Act, 1968.
Similarly, he said, it was apprised in the meeting that all fresh requisition cases post 31 Oct, 2019 fall under the ambit of RAIP Act, 1952 for which certain clarifications have been sought by the JKUT from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
“Key issues that came up for discussion in the meeting included pending joint demarcations, cases of field firing ranges in Jammu & Samba districts, works around Jammu Airport, issues of various Military stations in the division, derequisition proposals of Domana/Jandial/Ambaran/ Chak Singha under Jammu-Akhnoor-Poonch NH, pending Board proceedings on part of Army authorities etc,” he added.
According to the spokesperson, the DEO Udhampur, Jammu & ADEO Rajouri were directed to be more proactive in resolving the long pending matters and to be available in person or through their representative in each Rate Fixation Committee meeting called by the respective DCs.
“The Div Com said that it will help in speedy issuance of permissions for building structures and the public can get their permissions in a time bound manner,” he added.
The meeting was attended in person by VC JDA, Additional Secretary Home, Assistant Commissioner Central, besides Senior Officers of Army, Defence Estate Officers and other concerned, while Deputy Commissioners of Jammu division along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
