Srinagar– Jammu and Kashmir reported on Friday 95 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while no fatality was witnessed in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
Officials said that Kashmir Valley reported 30 new cases of Coronavirus while the remaining 65 were detected from various districts of Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to 452817.
Giving district wise details, the officials said, Srinagar reported 18 cases, Baramulla, Budgam and Kupwara 3 each and one new case each in Anantnag, Bandipora and Kulgam. The three districts of Shopian, Pulwama and Ganderbal.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 27 fresh cases of virus, Doda 20, Kathua, Samba and Ramban 5 each, Rajouri 2 and Poonch 1. No new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the three districts of Udhampur, Kishtwar and Reasi.
“Moreover, 187 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 126 from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir Division,” the officials said.
Also, they said that the death toll due to the pandemic remained 4748 in J&K—2325 in Jammu and 2423 in Kashmir, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
The officials further said that no new cases of Mucormycosis were reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
