Srinagar- Noted businessman Nazir Ahmad Wani was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Srinagar on Saturday.
A large number of people from different walks of life joined his Namaze Jinaza.
Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Inc) deeply mourned his demise.
Nazir Ahmad Wani who passed away on Friday in New Delhi had a long association with KCC&I. He was elected as Sr. Vice President of the KCC&I in 2011.
Special tributes were paid to the late Nazir Ahmad Wani by President and office bearers of the KCC&I and the remarkable contribution of the late Nazir Wani for safeguarding the interest of trade commerce and Industry and serving the organization was unanimously appreciated.
In his death, the business community in general and the KCC&I in particular have lost a noble and gentle colleague, who will always be remembered with respect by the fraternity of Trade, Commerce and Industry.
“We pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement said.
