Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Saturday lowest daily cases of Coronavirus in the last 47 days as 166 people tested positive for the virus, while no fresh fatality was reported in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, Kashmir Valley registered 63 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while the remaining 103 were detected in the various districts of Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 452155.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar detected the highest 21 new cases of virus, Kupwara 13, Bandipora 10, Anantnag 6, four each in Baramulla and Budgam, Pulwama 3 and Ganderbal 2. The twin districts of Kulgam and Shopian in south Kashmir reported no new cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 51 fresh cases of Coronavirus, Doda 23, Kathua 8, Udhampur and Ramban 5 each, Reasi 4, Poonch 3, Kishtwar 2 and one new case each in Rajouri and Samba districts.
“Moreover, 469 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 242 from Jammu Division and 227 from Kashmir Division,” they said.
Also, the officials said that the death toll due to pandemic remained 4746 in J&K as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
The officials also said that no new cases of Mucormycosis were reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
