Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir registered on Tuesday 314 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus, while no death was reported from the Union Territory for the second consecutive day.
According to the officials, Kashmir Valley reported 126 new cases of Coronavirus while the remaining 188 were detected in the various districts of Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 451330.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 63 fresh cases of virus, Budgam 22, Kupwara 13, Baramulla 10, Ganderbal 6, Anantnag 5, Kulgam and Pulwama 3 each and Bandipora 1. Shopian district in south Kashmir reported no new cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu detected a maximum of 67 new cases of Coronavirus, Doda 52, Kathua 20, Udhampur 14, Ramban 10, Rajouri and Samba 9 each, Kishtwar 6 and Reasi 1. Poonch district detected no fresh cases of virus.
“Moreover, 937 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 445 from Jammu Division and 492 from Kashmir Division,” they said.
Also, the officials said that the death toll due to the pandemic remained 4745 in J&K as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
The officials also said that no new cases of Mucormycosis were reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
