Srinagar: A traffic policeman on Monday was injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Humhama area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Shahbaz Ahmed Dar (131/SPO) of Razwan village of Budgam was performing his duty near Railway Bridge Humhama area when a vehicle hit him, reports said Monday. Dar, suffered serious injuries in the accident and was removed to the JVC Hospital Bemina for treatment. His condition is reportedly critical.
The car driver, according to reports, fled from the spot leaving the traffic cop injured on the ground.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case and launched a hunt to nab the accused driver.
