JAMMU- J&K Taekwondo Association on Monday congratulated Chandeep Singh for scripting history once again at world level by bringing a Silver medal for India and J&K at 9th World Para Taekwondo Championships 2021.
“It’s really a matter of joy and pride that a Para athlete from J&K became the only two times Silver medallist at World Taekwondo Para Championships,” the Association said.
“Chandeep Singh has been training under Atul Pangotra (Coach, JKSC) for the past 5 years. The duo made the nation proud by bringing laurels to the country and J&K.”
D.N Pangotra (President, JKTA) and SM Bali (Senior VP, JKTA) congratulated Chandeep on his victory and wished him luck for the future endeavours. They also thanked LG. Shri Manoj Sinha Sir, Advisor to LG, Farooq Khan, Principal Secretary Alok Kumar (IRS), J&K Sports Council and Nuzhat Gul (Secretary, JKSC) for financially supporting Chandeep for the said Championship.
J&K Taekwondo Association will be organizing a welcome function for Chandeep Singh.
Atul Pangotra (Coach, JKSC) also congratulated Chandeep Singh and his parents for this prestigious achievement at World Level. He said that Chandeep is an inspiration for all the Athletes of J&K. His sheer dedication and focus made him today achieve such a feat in this Olympic sport. All the players from UT expressed joy over the win of Chandeep and are highly motivated for Taekwondo.
