Srinagar- Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Thursday warned of legal action against people hiding their international travel history at the Srinagar airport amid the emergence of new virus variant Omicron.
Talking to the media this morning, Aijaz said that international travellers or domestic travellers who have had a travel history in the last two weeks if found to have hidden their travel history will face legal action and be fined Rs 20,000.
The DC said it has been observed that combination of vaccination and facemasks lessens the chances of infection.
“If we have to save ourselves from earlier lockdown-like circumstances, then there is no alternative other than to adhere to Covid19 SOPs religiously”, he added.
