Srinagar- Coronavirus claimed lives of two more people in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday while 145 fresh cases of virus were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, two more people succumbed to Covid-19 related complications in Valley on Sunday, taking the overall fatality count to 4475—2185 in Jammu and 2290 in Kashmir.
About the fresh cases of infection, officials said, 127 were registered in the Valley while the remaining 18 were detected from various districts of Jammu division.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported the highest 61 new cases of coronavirus, Baramulla 31, Bandipora, Pulwama and Ganderbal 7 each, Anantnag and Budgam 5 each, Kupwara 3 and Shopian 1. No fresh case was detected in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In the winter capital, officials said, Reasi reported a maximum of 7 new cases, Jammu 4, Rajouri and Doda 2 each and one new case each in Samba, Poonch and Ramban. The three districts of Udhampur, Kathua and Kishtwar reported no new cases of Covid-19.
“Moreover, 209 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 25 from Jammu Division and 184 from Kashmir,” officials said.
