Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in a statement on Thursday termed the Hyderpora alleged encounter as a “tragedy” that has “stunned the people of Kashmir.”
Taking note of the protest by the families of Altaf Bhat and Mudasir Gul, civilians from Srinagar who were killed in the shootout, the APHC said their plight “is agonising.”
The APHC also termed the police’s act of detaining family members, on a sit-in protest to demand the bodies of their kin, as “inhuman.”
