Poonch: Two policemen were killed while four others were injured after an escort vehicle of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch plunged into a deep gorge in Poonch district.
The police gypsy met with the accident near Bufliyaz in Surankote police station area of Poonch.
As part of the VIP movement of the District Magistrate, SSP Poonch was on way to Surankote.
After the accident, six injured police personnel were taken to the local civil hospital where one of them, identified as Shoib Ahmed, was declared dead by doctors.
Five other police personnel were provided medical aid at Sub District Hospital Surankote from where two critically injured were referred to GMC Jammu, where another personnel Sham Lal succumbed.
The injured personnel include Ghulam Mustafa, Shamim Ahmed, Parvez Ahmed and Istkar Ahmed.
