Srinagar: Three more people succumbed to coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday while 165 fresh cases of virus were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, two fresh fatalities were reported from Kashmir Valley and one from Jammu division on Wednesday, taking the overall fatality count in J&K to 4448 —2178 in Jammu and 2270 in Kashmir.
About the fresh cases, the officials said that 147 were reported from the Valley and the remaining 18 from parts of Jammu division, taking the number of people infected by virus to 333490.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar registered highest 68 cases, Baramulla 30, Budgam 17, Ganderbal 15, Bandipora 9, Kupwara 7 and Pulwama 1new case of coronavirus. The three south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Kulgam and Shopian reported no new cases of virus.
In the winter capital, officials said that Jammu reported a maximum of nine cases, Poonch 3, two each in Doda and Rajouri districts and one each in Samba and Reasi. No new cases were detected in Udhampur, Kathua, Kishtwar and Ramban districts.
“Moreover, 131 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 20 from Jammu Division and 111 from Kashmir,” they said.
