SRINAGAR: Two matches of the ongoing JKFA Khyber Premier Division League 2021 witnessed a total of 10 goals scored on Thursday at Synthetic Turf, TRC here.
In the first match, JKPDC XI defeated SCFA XI 4-1, while in the second match of the day Kashmir Avengers FC routed Food & Supplies (F&S) XI 5-0.
SCFA took the lead against PDC XI in the 26th minute through Parvez, which they maintained till the end of first half. The second half of the match witnessed a goal fest as PDC came out of the blocks flying. Hyder Yousuf scored the leveller in the 46th minute, and gave his team a 2-1 lead in the 49th.
Mehran made it 3-0 for the JKSPDC in 50th minute, while Hyder scored his hat trick and team’s fourth goal in 67th minute. The young SCFA side tried its best to score, but the defensive lines of PDC XI thwarted all their attempts. At the end of the match, the score line read 4-1 in favour of the PDC XI.
In the second match of the day, Kashmir Avengers slammed 5 goals past the Departmental team of F&S XI. Moses, Aanis, Farhan Pathan, Shariq and Ishfaq Ahmad scored one goal each for the winning team.
The Avengers made the F&S team look helpless. The F&S forwards were seemed off colour and hardly made any pressure on the opposite goal post. The 5-0 margin in favour of Kashmir Avenger FC team was a fair result considering the quality of the football displayed by them.
