Srinagar: Ninety people infected by coronavirus recovered in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday while sixty fresh cases of virus were reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 90 more Covid -19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 23 from Jammu division and 67 from Kashmir Valley. During the same time, the officials said, 60 new coronavirus cases were detected in J&K —51 from Kashmir and nine from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected by virus so far to
331698.
Giving district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar reported highest 31 cases, Baramulla 10 cases, Budgam and Kupwara 4 each, and one new case of virus each in Anantnag and Ganderbal districts. No case was reported from Pulwama, Bandipora, Kulgam and Shopian districts.
Similarly, the officials said, Jammu and Doda reported 3 new cases each and one new case each was reported from Udhampur, Reasi and Rajouri districts. Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban districts reported no fresh cases.
Also, officials said that one more person succumbed to virus in Jammu division, taking the fatality count in J&K to 4430—2176 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir.
“No new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 49 here,” the officials said.
