Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 108 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday while 52 more patients recovered from the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 87 new cases of coronavirus were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 21 from Jammu division, thus taking the total number of people infected by the virus in J&K to 3,31,494.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar registered highest 47 new cases of virus followed by 14 in Budgam, 11 in Ganderbal, 4 each in Anantnag and Baramulla, 3 in Kulgam, 2 in Pulwama and one new case each in Kupwara and Bandipora districts. Shopian reported no fresh case.
In the winter capital, officials said that Jammu reported a maximum of six new cases, 5 in Doda, 4 in Reasi, 3 in Rajouri and one new case of Covid-19 each in Udhampur, Kathua and Ramban districts. Three districts of Samba, Kishtwar and Poonch reported no fresh cases.
Also, officials said, 11 patients from Jammu division and 41 from the Kashmir division recovered and were discharged from various hospitals.
Meanwhile, the death toll due to coronavirus remained 4429 in J&K —2175 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir, as no fatality was reported on Friday.
