Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday 87 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while 73 more patients recovered from the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, 74 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 13 from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected by the virus in UT to 331386.
In the Valley, officials said, Srinagar reported highest 43 cases followed by Budgam with 10, Baramulla 6, Ganderbal 4, Kupwara and Bandipora 3 each, Anantnag and Kulgam 2 each and one new case of virus in Pulwama. No new case of coronavirus was reported from Shopian district.
Similarly, the officials said that Jammu reported a maximum of 6 cases while two each were reported from Doda, Kathua and Reasi while a single case was reported from Kishtwar. The five districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Samba, Poonch and Ramban reported no fresh cases.
Also, the official spokesperson said that 73 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals, including 10 from Jammu Division and 63 from Kashmir Division.
The officials further said that the fatality count remained 4429—2175 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir as no Covid-19 related fatality was reported in J&K on Thursday.
