Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday 84 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while 97 more patients recovered from the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, 72 new cases of virus were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 12 from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 331221.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported highest 45 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 8, Anantnag 5 and twin districts of Kupwara and Ganderbal one new case each. Four districts of Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama and Bandipora reported no new cases.
In the winter capital, officials said that Jammu reported 7, Doda 3 and Rajouri and Poonch districts one new case each of coronavirus. No fresh cases were reported from Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Ramban and Reasi districts.
Also, the officials said 97 more Covid-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 17 from Jammu Division and 80 from Kashmir Division.
Meanwhile, one new case of Mucormycosis was reported in J&K on Tuesday, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 49 here.
