RKFC (R) defeat Bank Academy, Iqbal Sports draw 0-0 with Novelty
SRINAGAR: The JKFA Khyber Super Division Football League witnessed two matches on Wednesday at the Synthetic Turf, TRC here.
First match between Real Kashmir FC (Reserves) and J&K Bank Academy ended in 2-0 victory for the Snow Leopards. Saqib scored the first goal of the match in the 30th minute, while Neeraj scored RKFC’s second goal in the 47th minute. The youngsters of J&K Bank Academy played well but couldn’t capitalise on their chances. Zahid of Real Kashmir FC (R) was awarded the man of the match award.
The second match Super League match of the day between Iqbal Sports and Novelty FC ended in a 0-0 draw. Both teams were well matched on paper and played two halves of attacking football. However, neither could take any of the chances created and shared the spoils in a match that both teams were desperate to win.
Over in DFA Srinagar A-Division Football League, two matches were played on Wednesday at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh. Flying Kashmir FC defeated Al-Ahlam FC 2-0 in the first match. While in the second, Real Cosmos FC defeated Al- Rashid FC 3-1.
‘Pele Of Kashmir’ KO League 2021
The 7th match of the ‘Pele of Kashmir’ Knockout League was played on Tuesday at Downtown Idgah Playfield, Idgah. In the match, Qamarwari FC defeated Hamdaniya FC by 2 goals to 0. Imran and Azain were the scorers for Qamarwari FC.
Held in memory of late Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a veteran footballer of the erstwhile J&K State, the tournament is being organized by Player Welfare Forum Idgah in collaboration with JKFA.
