PDC vs J&K Bank in Positive Kashmir KO final
SRINAGAR: One match of the JKFA Khyber Super Division League 2021 was played on Tuesday at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
The match between Kashmir Maharaja FC and J&K Forest XI ended in a 2-0 victory for the Maharajas. Expected to be a close encounter, Kashmir Maharaja FC managed to score two goals in either halves of the match to seal the hard-fought tie.
The first goal came in the 31st minute, scored by Rashid of Kashmir Maharaja. J&K Forest XI created opportunities to score but failed to convert any of their chances.
The Maharajas then scored the second goal of the match in the second half through Adil Tariq and consolidated their lead till final whistle. Rashid of Kashmir Maharaja FC was named man of the match for his brilliant performance.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing A-Division League 2021, one match was played on Tuesday at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh in which Baghi Hamdan FC defeated Makhdoomiya FC by a solitary goal.
Positive Kashmir KO Tournament: J&K PDC XI Defeat J&K Police XI
In the ongoing 1st Edition Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Tournament, J&K PDC XI defeated J&K Police XI in a tie-breaker on Tuesday.
A high-voltage match, the game lived up to fan expectations as both teams played at brisk speed and involved intricate passing football. Both halves of the match, however, ended in 0-0 draws.
J&K PDC XI then managed to defeat J&K Police XI 4-3 in a tie-breaker, to book their place in the Positive Kashmir finals along side J&K Bank FC.
J&K Bank had earlier sealed their place in the finals by defeating Downtown Heroes FC in a tie-breaker.
