Matches played in A-Division and Positive Kashmir tournaments

SRINAGAR: JKFA Premier Football League 2021 kick started on Friday with Downtown Heroes playing J&K Bank Academy at Synthetic Turf TRC here.
An inauguration ceremony was held before kick-off in which footballers and officials met various dignitaries.
The young Bank Academy side matched toe-to-toe with the seasoned Downtown Heroes players from the beginning and managed to end the first half at 0-0. Downtown Heroes gained momentum in the match at regular intervals and in the second half managed to take the lead through Shahmeer.
The match ended 1-0 in favour of the Heroes, with the goal scorer Shahmeer earning the man of the match award.
Top 16 teams of Kashmir Valley are participating, and a total of 59 matches are set to be played throughout the Premier League. The tournament is being broadcast live for the first time by Frisk Film Production on ANN News Channel.
Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council, was the chief guest on the inauguration ceremony. Abdul Manan Tramboo, Director Khyber Milk production, DR Kausar Bakshi M.D AMRL Labs, Karanagar, Shabir Ahmad Shah Committee member and members of J&K Football Association and officials of JKSC, were also present on the occasion.
Two matches of the Khyber Milk Premier Football League will be played on Saturday at TRC. In the first kick-off, J&K Forest XI will take on Ali Jana FC at 1:30 PM. While in the second kick-off, J&K Bank XI will battle it out with Food & Supplies XI at 4:00 PM.
Novelty FC have been added to the list of tournament’s competing teams.
A-Division League: Alamdar FC Win 4-2 Against Tengpora FC
In the ongoing Annual League Football Tournament 2021 one match of the A-Division were played at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh here.
Ist match of A Division was played between Alamdar FC and Tengpora FC in which Alamdar FC defeated Tengpora FC by 4:2 Goals.
The Tournament is organized by JKFA in collaboration with JKSC.
Positive Kashmir KO Tournament: J&K Bank XI Win 3-1 Against Ali Jana FC
In the first edition Positive Kashmir KO Tournament, J&K Bank defeated Ali Jana FC 3-1 on Thursday. Ali Jana FC took a shock lead in the 10th minute of the match through Shaik. A penalty was awarded to J&K Bank FC in the 30th minute after an error by Ali Jana’s goalkeeper. Bank’s Adnan calmly slotted the ball home to make the score 1-1.
The second half saw attacking football from both teams, but the J&K Bank team managed to score two goals in the last minutes of the match through Prem. The match ended 3-1 in favour of J&K Bank XI.
Shaik of Ali Jana FC was awarded man of the match award by Chairman J&K Bank, who the chief guest on the occasion.
