Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Friday recovery of 138 coronavirus infected persons, while 133 fresh cases were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 138 more Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—27 from Jammu and 111 from the Valley, while during the same time 133 fresh cases of virus have been detected across J&K, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year to 329566.
Among the fresh cases of infection, officials said, 97 were reported from Kashmir and the remaining 36 from Jammu division.
In Valley, Srinagar reported the highest 57 cases, followed by Budgam with 14, Ganderbal 8, Baramulla 7, Bandipora 6, Kupwara 3 and Anantnag 2 new cases of infection, officials said. The three districts of Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama reported no new cases of virus.
In the winter capital, Doda reported a maximum of 12 new cases, Jammu 10, Rajouri 7, Kathua and Poonch 3 each and Udhampur one new case of Covid-19. No fresh cases was reported from Samba , Kishtwar , Ramban and Reasi districts.
Also, officials said, one more coronavirus related death was reported on Friday, taking the overall death toll to 4423—2173 in Jammu and 2250 in Kashmir.
