Srinagar: A teenager drowned to death on Friday in river Sindh in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday afternoon.
17-year-old Mohammad Azam Shah, son of Kaisar Ahmad Shah from Bamloora drowned in river Sindh near Duderhama when he was taking a bath on Friday afternoon, reports said.
Soon after the incident, a massive operation was launched to rescue the teenager from the gushing water of the stream. However, after hectic efforts, the rescue team retrieved the lifeless body of the teenager, reports said.
The body was later handed over to his family members after competition of legal formalities.
