SRINAGAR: Kashmir Valley’s top most football clubs are all set to battle it out in the Premier Division Football League 2021 from September 27 here.
A total of 15 football clubs will participate in the Valley’s highest tier football league. The teams have been categorised into two pools and are as follows:
Pool A: Downtown Heroes FC, Ali Jana FC, Real Kashmir (Reserves), J&K Police XI, Kashmir Maharaja FC, AG’s XI, J&K Forest XI, and J&K Bank Academy.
Pool B: J&K Bank FC, Kashmir Avengers FC, JK SPDC XI, Iqbal Sports FC, ARCO FC, Sports Council Football Academy, and Food & Supplies XI.
All the matches will be played at Synthetic Turf, TRC.
The Pools and fixtures were decided on Thursday in a draw of lots at Synthetic Turf in the presence of officials from DFA Srinagar and managers/coaches and captains of the participating teams.
The JKFA officials also held an interactive session and updated the teams about latest amendments in the laws of the game, particularly new rules regarding hand ball scenarios.
The JKFA also announced that the Premier Division 2021 will be broadcasted live on TV and social media.
“All the matches of the Tournament will be telecast live in ANN News (TV Channel) and their social media network with Frisk Film Productions,” the Association said.
