SRINAGAR: Four matches were played on Friday in the ongoing DFA Srinagar Annual Football League 2021 here.
Two match of the Super Division League were played at the Synthetic Turf, TRC.
In the first match IFC Kashmir defeated Fort View FC by 3 goals to 1.
IFC Kashmir player Nadeem opened the scoring in 12th minute of the match. IFC’s Umar Farooq then doubled his team’s lead in the 34th minute of the first half. Fort View FC came out stronger in the second half of the match and succeeded to pull a goal back in 43rd minute.
However, IFC Kashmir put the tie to bed by scoring their third goal in 69th minute via Umar Farooq.
In the second Super Division League match of the day, Towheed FC went head to head with Jehlum FC.
Jehlum FC scored the only goal of the match in 32nd minute through Rizwan. Even though both teams created several scoring opportunities, the match ended 1-0 in favour of Jehlum FC.
Over in the ‘A’ Division League being played at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh, two first round matches were played.
In the first match between Manzoor Towheed FC and Alamdar FC, Alamdar FC won by a solitary goal. While in the second ‘A’ Division match, Tengpora FC defeated Pandrathan FC by 2 goals to nil.
The DFA Srinagar Annual League Tournament 2021 is organised by Jammu & Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
