Srinagar– Three people, including a non-local were injured in a grenade explosion in main town Pulwama in south Kashmir district on Tuesday, officials said.
The militants lobbed the grenade towards a vehicle of government forces at Pulwama chowk this afternoon but the grenade exploded on the roadside, resulting in injuries to three civilians.
The injured persons have been rushed to a hospital while government forces have cordoned off the area, the officials added.
According to the reports, two of the injured have been identified as Jitendar Kumar son of Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Bihar, Azhar Khurshid of Dalipora, Pulwama. They both were removed to district hospital Pulwama for treatment. Their condition is said to be stable.
