SRINAGAR: Two matches were played on Monday in the ongoing DFA Srinagar Super Division League 2021 at Synthetic Turf TRC, here.
The first match was played between Views FC and Jhelum FC. The first goal of the game was scored by Dawood for Jhelum FC in the 4th minute. Views FC players however quickly responded with a goal by Muneeb in the 7th minute. The Views team then took a 2-1 lead in the 23rd minute via another goal by Muneeb. However, the Jhelum FC boys responded in kind minutes later when Arman scored to level the game at 2-2.
Although the fans were expecting more goals in the second half of the match, the game ended 2-2 at the final whistle.
The second match of the day was played between Old City FC and IFC Kashmir. The first goal of the game was scored in the 10th minute by IFC Kashmir’s Hanan, who scored a magnificent free kick. The Old City players soon equalised through Ubaid in the 15th minute.
The IFC team, however, doubled their lead in the 27th minute via a goal by Ishfaq to take the 2-1 lead at the half time whistle.
The second half began with both team looking to create goal scoring opportunities. In the dying moments of the match, IFC Kashmir earned a penalty kick which was converted by Ishfaq.
The match ended 3-1 in favour of IFC Kashmir.
The DFA Srinagar Super Division League is organised by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
