SRINAGAR- Mobile internet was on Monday evening restored in the Kashmir except Srinagar and Budgam districts after remaining suspended for five days following the death of veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani last week.
Officials said that mobile internet services were restored at 7 pm in eight districts of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that decision regarding restoration of the mobile internet services in Srinagar and Budgam will be reviewed tomorrow afternoon.
Mobile internet was snapped soon after veteran Kashmir leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s death on evening of September 1.
The authorities had also snapped telephony and broadband internet except lesser-used BSNL services but the services were restored after three days.
