Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that it seized illicit forest timber in Aloosa area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
In a statement police said that acting on a specific information about timber smuggling in village Aloosa , a police party of Police Post Aloosa led by DO P/P Aloosa SI Shakeel Ahmad under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Mohammad Idrees-JKPS raided the particular spot and recovered illicit forest timber from the residential house of one person identified as Mohmad Yousaf Dar S/o GH Mohmad Dar R/o Kanibath Aloosa.
“In this regard Case FIR No. 145/2021 under relevant sections of IPC & Forest Act has been registered in PS Bandipora. Investigation of the case is going on.”
“Our consistent actions against anti social elements should reassure the community members that we are making every effort to keep our society free of crime. Bandipora police appeals general public to share information with police against persons who indulge in illegal activities,” the statement added.
