SRINAGAR: Downtown Heroes FC and Real Kashmir FC (Reserves) will go head to head in the JKFA Futsal Championship 2021 final.
The two teams defeated their respective opponents on Sunday at Gindun Ground, Rajbagh to book their spots in the 5-a-side tournament’s final match.
In the first semifinal match, Real Kashmir FC (R) took on Hyderya Sports FC. Real Kashmir dominated the match from the start and defeated Hyderya Sports by 10 goals to 2. Shakir was the highest scorer for RKFC and scored six goals.
The second semifinal match was played between Downtown Heroes FC and Syed Tajuddin FC. A high-voltage encounter, the match saw both teams play aggressive football. A complete opposite of the earlier semifinal match, this game proved to be a close one as both teams stayed neck to neck.
Downtown Heroes scored four goals to edge out Syed Tajuddin who scored three.
Downtown Heroes FC held the slender lead till the final whistle to set up the Futsal Championship final with Real Kashmir FC (R).
The scheduled date for the final match will be released in a few days, the JKFA told Kashmir Observer.
The championship is being organised by the JKFA in collaboration with JKSC.
