SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has issued a notice announcing trials for Under 19 men and women cricketers at Srinagar and Jammu.
The simultaneous trials are scheduled to be held from August 25 till 27.
In Srinagar, the trials for both men and women cricket teams would be conducted at the Sher-i Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar from 10:30 am onwards. While in Jammu, the trials would be held at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu from 9:00 am onwards for men and 2:30 pm onwards for women.
Desirous players, born on or after September 1, 2002, have been asked to bring original Date of Birth certificates and a RT-PCR test report (not older than 48 hours).
Willing participants below the age of 18 have been asked to bring an undertaking duly signed by a guardian or a parent.
The notification for trials comes merely days after the JKCA announced its selectors for junior men and women teams.
Arun Sharma was named Chairman, Junior Selection Committee for boys, while Zahoor Bhat, Jagtar Singh and Vikrant Taggar were confirmed as the committee’s other members.
For women selections, Patibha Wadhera Bhasin was named Chairman Junior Women Selection Committee, while as Madhu Sharma and Kounser Ali were named its members.
This is the first time in JKCA history that names of selectors has been made public.
