Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Monday 93 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 50 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and 43 others from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 324295.
Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 12, Baramulla 7, Budgam 3, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 4, Jammu 2, Rajouri 5, Doda 28, Samba 1, Kishtwar 3, Poonch 2, and Reasi 2 new cases of coronavirus. No new case of virus was reported from the four districts of Shopian, Udhampur, Kathua and Ramban.
Also, the officials said that 203 more Covid-19 patients have recovered—114 from Jammu division and 89 from the valley.
Regarding the fatality, officials said that one more person succumbed to the virus in the winter capital, taking the fatality count to 4403 people—2163 in Jammu and 2240 in Kashmir.
The officials also said that there were 43 confirmed cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus) in the union territory as no fresh case was reported since Sunday evening.
