SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Friday visited Dalgate to inspect the restoration work being carried out on a patch of road at Badyari Chowk along Boulevard on Dal Lake.
The DC directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the pace of restoration work by employing additional men and machinery.
He set an August 25 deadline for completion of the work to ensure smooth and safe traffic movement on the road.
Pertinent to mention that the road stretch at Badyari Chowk Dalgate along Boulevard on Dal Lake had collapsed in the month of February due to which traffic movement in the area got affected.
Superintendent Engineer R&B, Nayeem Khan and other concerned were present on the occasion.
