Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Wednesday 114 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
While 80 new cases of Covid-19 surfaced from Kashmir Valley, the remaining 34 were reported from Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 322885, officials said.
Giving district-wise details, officials said, Srinagar reported 27, Baramulla 11, Budgam 4, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 20, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 5, Jammu 8, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 13, Doda 6, Samba 1, Kishtwar 5 new cases of Covid-19. No fresh case of infection was reported from south Kashmir’s Shopian district and four districts of Kathua, Poonch, Ramban and Reasi in Jammu division.
Also, officials said, 114 more patients have recovered, 41 from Jammu Division and 73 from Kashmir Valley.
Meanwhile, one person from Jammu division succumbed to the virus, raising the overall fatality count to 4393 in J&K—2154 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir.
Also, there was one more confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. With this 38 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K so far, the officials added.
