Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported on Tuesday 113 new cases of novel coronavirus while two more people died of the infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to officials, 73 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported from Kashmir Valley and forty from Jammu division on Tuesday, taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year to 322771 in J&K.
Giving district-wise details, officials said, Srinagar reported 38, Baramulla 4, Budgam 9, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 2, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 9, Shopian 1, Jammu 10, Udhampur 8, Rajouri 6, Doda 8, Kathua 1, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 3 and Ramban 2 new cases of coronavirus. No fresh case of Covid-19 was reported from twin districts of Reasi and Samba in Jammu division.
Also, officials said, 124 more patients have recovered, 49 from Jammu Division and 75 from Kashmir Valley.
Regarding the fatalities, they said both persons succumbed to virus in Jammu division, taking the overall fatality count to 4392 in J&K—2153 in Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir.
