Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded on Thursday 181 fresh cases of novel coronavirus while one person succumbed to the virus in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
Of the 181 new cases, the officials said 114 were reported from Kashmir Valley and the remaining 67 from Jammu division thus taking the total number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic last year in J&K to 321207.
Giving district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 37, Baramulla 19, Budgam 11, Pulwama 12, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 8, Ganderbal 11, Kulgam 8, Shopian 1, Jammu 3, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 13, Doda 24, Kathua 3, Samba 1, Kishtwar 10, Poonch 3, Ramban 1 and Reasi 7 new cases of coronavirus. No fresh case was reported from north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Also, the officials said that 175 more patients in last 24 hours have recovered— 66 from Jammu Division and 109 from Kashmir, taking the number of people who have recovered in J&K to 315686.
The officials said that one more person succumbed to virus in Jammu division, taking the overall fatality count to 4377 in J&K—2141 in Jammu division and 2236 in Kashmir.
There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 35 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
